18-yr-old boy shot dead by gang in the UK

A Nigerian boy was reportedly shot dead by a gang in the UK during a visit to see an old friend.

The deceased, David Adegbite

According to the reports, the deceased was reportedly ambushed and shot in the head while visiting a friend at St Ann's Estate, where he used to live.

Friends described Adegbite as a smart guy who was “in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

“He was such a smart guy, really clever and good at math. He was due to start university.

“He was no gangster or drug dealer; he was a good family guy. He always talked about how much he loved his mother and wanted to make her proud."

18-year-old Mary told UK Evening Standard, “He was popular with everyone. I just can’t believe there are people out there in London with guns, you expect it in America but not here."

Punch reports that two 20-year-olds have been arrested by the UK authorities in connection with the murder.

One of them was reportedly released on bail pending further inquiries while the second remains in the custody of the police.

Adegbite had dreamed about studying at Middlesex University in the United Kingdom.
