Raila comes clean on contesting in 2022 elections

This comes after Orengo said Raila would still vie in 2022

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has come clean on contesting for presidency in the 2022 General elections.

The opposition Chief said that members of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party making claims that he will seek presidency in 2022 polls are only doing so as individuals.

He added that his main focus at the moment is to unify the nation through the Building Bridges Initiative after his handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Raila’s remarks come a day after Senate Minority leader and Siaya senator James Orengo said that the ODM party could still field Raila Odinga for presidency in the 2022 general election because he was still their best bet.

“Some people are saying Raila should retire, but we firmly believe he has not accomplished his goal,” he said.

Orengo added that Raila Odinga was still in the political big league and he was not retiring anytime soon.
