Gor Mahia will host AFC Leopards on Sunday August 27 as was planned but at a different venue.

According to a communique obtained by P Live from Kenyan Premier League Limited, the match will be played at Kasarani Stadium instead of Nyayo National Stadium as stated earlier.

This is because construction work is starting at the Nyayo Stadium; a thing which has also affected three other KPL matches.

The affected games, which will now be played at Kasarani Stadium too, include Sofapaka vs Nzoia Sugar, Gor Mahia vs Posta Rangers and AFC Leopards vs Tusker.

“Kindly note that the Nairobi Derby league match between Gor Mahia (home team) and AFC Leopards (away team) will now be played at the Safaricom Stadium, Kasarani and not the Nyayo National Stadium as earlier communicated.

“The match will be still played on Sunday, 27 August 2017, kick off time 3:00 PM. The change has been prompted by the commencement of construction work at the Nyayo National Stadium.

“The following matches which were scheduled to be played at the Nyayo National Stadium this week have also been moved to Kasarani,” the statement read in parts.
