Kenya Pipeline have qualified for the 2017 African Women's Volleyball Club Championships quarterfinals in the ongoing games in Tunisia.

Pipeline, who are seven-time champions, secured their second consecutive win after beating a resilient GSP of Algeria by straight sets (26-24, 25-23, 25-16) in a Group C encounter on Saturday evening.

The first set was a closely contested affair between the two sides and it was the same performance in the second set, but Japheth Munala's side was not letting their weakness show.

They dropped a few points when under attack, but got the better of their opponents with awesome strikes at the net.

Pipeline, who face Bafia of Cameroon tomorrow night in their last preliminary round fixture, had a positive start to the 10-day tournament after overcoming APR of Rwanda 3-0 in their first match.

Five-time champions Prisons recovered from a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Egyptian giants Al Ahly to defeat Marsa in straight sets (25-12, 25-15, 26-24) on Saturday night.

In their other pool B showdown Prisons earned a credible win over Bejaia of Algeria 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 25-21) and now they will be taking on University of Zimbabwe on April 11.

"It was a tough match against Marsa, especially in the first set, but unlike our first game, we managed to control it. The players have been impressive and remain positive on what they have to achieve in the next two decisive matches," said Prisons coach David Lung'aho.

He added that they are still hopeful to to proceed to the next level as the two matches will determine the fate of the two games at the Women's volleyball Championships.
