President Uhuru Kenyatta has requested outgoing Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto to move back to Jubilee.

Speaking during the swearing in ceremony of new Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso on Tuesday, Kenyatta applauded Ruto for conceding defeat and handing over power peacefully.

"You have shown that you are a true man. I want to ask you to come back. You don’t have to stay with that man of riddles,” the Head of State told Ruto amid cheers from the crowd.The ex-Governor, who is now a co-principal in NASA, did not respond to the President's request when he took to the podium but said: “I will soon be telling you of my next move.”He added,"I did what I could in those four years. Now it is her turn to do her duties. I have assured her that I remain a citizen of Bomet and you will not see me squabbling with you."Dr Laboso promised to unite all the residents of Bomet County and work together.The former Bomet Governor was in Jubilee before ditching the party and forming Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM), which he used to defend his seat but was trounced by Laboso.

Ruto declined to fold his party and Join Jubilee and also alleged that DP William Ruto did not respect leaders from the Rift valley.He would later support NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga who also lost.
