Kivutha Kibwana advice to Kenyans who have not received payment from Makueni

To all who have not received payment from Makueni...

Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has been lauded by Kenyans over the past few days after development projects witnessed in the County hit headlines.

From the opening of Kikima Dairy plant to the launch of comprehensive medical insurance cover for Makueni residents, Mr Kibwana has warmed the hearts of many with his progressive projects.

However, apart from the congratulatory messages sent to Mr. Kibwana, a section of the public expressed concerns over payments they had not received from the County after service delivery.

For instance, Paul Mwaura a Nairobi resident was one of the people wanting to know how he could get his money.

Mr. Mwaura was contracted by Makueni to County to restructure, re-conceptualize and refine the original document of ‘A Handbook for Civic Education County Governance and citizen’s’ participation Volume 1.

“I did some work for Makueni County in the first days of its formation as per the attached documents which was never paid nor my complaint replied to. My question to the Governor is will this matter be ever resolved or do I accept that there will never be a solution and move on?” he posed.

The Wiper Party Chairman was prompt to advise Mwaura on what he ought to do in order to get his cash.

“If there is an outstanding bill, please personally forward it to our finance chief officer and inform the governor.,” he said.

The Governor emphasized that the County was committed to paying all contractors.

“We believe in remunerating our service providers according to agreements entered with them,” he said.

Following his great achievements, a section of the public encouraged Mr Kibwana to vie for the presidency in 2022 General Election but he crashed the hopes of many during a Q and A.

The Governor noted that he will be retiring from politics as he had already accomplished his goal in life.

"My primary career was teaching law at the University of Nairobi for 25 years; my secondary career pro-democracy work from 1988 to 2002; and my final career politics ending, God willing, in 2022," he said.
