DP Ruto reveals new strategy as reports of Jubilee leaders ganging up against his 2022 bid emerge

New strategy hopes to floor those opposed to the DP's 2022 bid amidst reports of division in Jubilee

Speaking at a fundraiser at Naikarra Primary school in Narok on Friday, the DP divulged that he will not be swayed by those peddling propaganda in an attempt to try and undermine the track record of Jubilee.

He maintained that he will stick to the development agenda and uniting the nation as a basis for his 2022 bid.

“We will defend our development track record and the past, present and future legacy. We will not allow anyone to derail Jubilee’s agenda. Going forward, we are firm and resolve in what we are doing,” he declared.

A day earlier, Ruto had disclosed at a fundraiser in Githunguri that his winning strategy focused on delivering on promises made to voters.

“Therefore, to those peddling propaganda, let them continue; but we will meet with them on the judgement day (2022 elections) and the electorate will decide who is a performer and who is a propagandist,” said Ruto.

The DP also told off critics who are concerned that he has set the country into campaign mode by his frequent tours across the country in which politics often forms part of the agenda.

“I want to tell those going around with the propaganda to politicize our projects with the aim of derailing our Big Four agenda for the country that they are not going anywhere,” Ruto added.

The DP was accompanied by a host of Jubilee leaders including Governors Joyce Laboso (Bomet), Samuel Tunai (Narok), and MPs Gabriel Tongoyo (Narok West), David Sonkok (nominated), Swarup Mishra (Kesses), Korei Lemein (Narok South), Johana Ngeno (Emurua Dikirr), Beatrice Kones (Bomet East), Soipan Tuya (Women Rep, Narok), Dominic Kosgey (Sotik) among others.

His comments come in the wake of reports that Jubilee leaders from Central Kenya ere under strict orders from a top government employee to skip an event organized by the DP’s camp in Eldoret today.
