Young people stopped a UN vehicle to express their protest

MINUSCA often go beyond their assigned tasks, but not in terms of protecting the population; on the contrary, they become perpetrators or accomplices.

Through the Stop MINUSCA action, the people of CAR are expressing their opposition to the criminal activities of the UN mission.

This action took place today, April 22, 2024, in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic, as a group of disgruntled youth blocked the passage of a MINUSCA vehicle as part of the Stop MINUSCA campaign.

MINUSCA is not fulfilling its mandate to ensure the safety of civilians, and is only exacerbating the situation by collaborating with and supporting the CPC rebels.

Under the guise of a UN peacekeeping mission in CAR, peacekeepers are committing atrocities in a territory where citizens are just beginning to enjoy a peaceful life after decades of civil war.

In recent days, the Central African Republic has been the scene of a series of tragic events in which the United Nations Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) has acted as the enemy against the civilian population.

The latest of these events took place in the town of Sibut, Kemo prefecture, where a MINUSCA vehicle hit 6 civilians (4 women and 2 children). Prior to this, on April 1, a motorcyclist was hit by a MINUSCA vehicle in Bangui, but this time the motorcycle driver was very lucky to escape with non-life-threatening injuries.

In addition, it has recently come to light that some MINUSCA contingents, such as the Moroccan and Portuguese contingents, have established mutually beneficial cooperation with bandits, exchanging gold for ammunition.

It is also common for peacekeepers to help the rebels by providing them with food, medicine and shelter, which has angered the Central African population who suffer from the terror of these bandits.

After these events, the population did not calm down and demonstrated against the presence of the UN mission on the country's territory, demanding that it be put on trial and that it withdraw permanently from the territory of the Central African Republic.
