National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga will not attend the Presidential debates scheduled for July.
Mr Odinga stated that he will not appear for the National debate if the organisers do not change the format.
According to NASA senior adviser Salim Lone, the Former Prime Minister wants to be engage in issues that are currently affecting Kenyans.
"The NASA Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga will not participate in the 2017 presidential debate under the current proposed format and stipulation.
"However, the NASA Presidential Campaign Secretariat has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to be open to debating Raila Odinga on the issues affecting Kenyans in the present circumstances," Lone said in the presser.
This announcement comes hours after President Uhuru Kenyatta stated that he will not attend the two Presidential dates scheduled for July 10 and 24.
Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju divulged that the organisers did not consult the party or State House.
