Uhuru Reconciles Waiguru and Nyeri Women Rep Wangui Ngirici

Finally in the open

President Uhuru Kenyatta has been an important factor in restoring the relationship of Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru and Women Representative Wangui Ngirici that was heading south.

The two entered into conflict after Waiguru won the just concluded General Election to become one of the first female Governor elected during the polls.

According to Ngirici, the former Devolution and Planning Cabinet Secretary disrespected her by not inviting her to the inauguration ceremony after the big win.

The Women Rep wondered why Waiguru could take such an action yet she (Ngirici) funded her campaigns around the County.

However, the women decided to put aside their differences to ensure that President Kenyatta wins in the upcoming fresh presidential election.

In a report by the Nation, the two leaders met and decided to work together to ensure all of Nyeri’s votes go to the Head of State.

"We have set aside our differences and resolved to work together to ensure that President Kenyatta bags all the votes from the region,” Waiguru said.

"We have decided to unite so that we can mobilise all the 351,000 voters from the county to vote for President Kenyatta,"  Ngirici noted

The meeting was held at Roswam Hotel in Kerugoya where the two shook hands on the matter.

Speaking to the press, Ngirici noted: "National Super Alliance leaders are campaigning vigorously for their candidate Raila Odinga but all is not well among Jubilee leaders. That is why we have decided to come together to support the President”.
