Larry Madowo’s reaction after his first day at BBC in London

Larry did not know!

Former NTV weekend news anchor and the Trend host Larry Madowo has revealed the “unusual” thing he experienced on his first day of work at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in London.

Larry revealed in tweet that he was the most overdressed person in the BBC offices and that this would be the first and the last time he would go to work in a full suit and tie.

“On my first day, I was the most overdressed person at the BBC. So this picture commemorates the first and last time I’ll show up at New Broadcasting House in a full suit & tie,” said Larry’s tweet.

The former Trend host last week announced his new appointment as the BBC Business Editor for Africa after days of speculation on where he was headed next after he announced that he had quit working for Nation Media Group’s NTV

"I’m thrilled to be joining the BBC and looking forward to amplifying stories about entrepreneurship, ingenuity, and innovation that I’ve witnessed as I have travelled all over Africa. I grew up admiring the quality of journalism the BBC produces around the world and it is an honour to be a part of a bold new team that will tell authentic African stories for audiences across multiple platforms," he said.

Larry Madowo’s new office will be based in London.
