The speaker’s daughter, identified as Winnie Makelo unveiled the multi-million palatial home given to his father by virtue of being Speaker of the Kenyan Senate through her Instagram account.

The Senate Speaker's house located in the Karen suburb is said to cost a total of 150 Million shillings , according to the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
