Matiang'i shuts down top Kenyan University

Just In

Acting Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has revoked the operating license of the Presbyterian University of East Africa.

This follows a proposal by the Commission for University Education (CUE) to revoke the letter of interim authority issued to the campus in 2007.

Dr. Matiang’i directed CUE to start the process of closing down the university.

This also means that CUE is tasked with ensuring ongoing students complete their studies or transferred to other institutions.
