National Super Allliance (NASA) candidate Raila Odinga has made an unexpected U-turn with regards to the six-piece voting pattern.
Raila has now said that he has no problem with Independent Candidates in Nyanza, in what seems as a move to seek more votes regardless of people’s political affiliations.
The NASA flag bearer said that he is ready to work with all those who support his presidential bid.
“I want our people to focus on the bigger picture which is getting the Presidency. The small in-fights among us will not help us, instead they'll spoil what we want," Raila stated while addressing a rally in Homa Bay County.

His remarks are a clear contradiction of the six-piece voting pattern which he has been championing for several times.
He called for peace in the wake of the political rivalry that has been witnessed between independent and ODM candidates in the region.

In Kisumu, for instance, Governor Jack Ranguma (Independent) will go face-to-face with Senator Anyang’ Nyong’o (ODM) while in Siaya Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo (Independent) will be battling Governor Cornel Rasanga (ODM) for the governor seat.
Raila, who hardly touched on the voting style, said that both independent and ODM candidates are his people.
The NASA leader was accompanied by his co-principals Moses Wetang'ula (Ford Kenya leader and Bungoma Senator) and Musalia Mudavadi (Amani National Congress).
