This was after a post that angered internet users who accused Wema of shaming pregnant women who take nude maternity shoots.

The controversial post read “Sijawahi Elewa Wanawake wakishaenda kwenye Maternity shoots kwanini wanataka sana wakae uchi.... This Is Very Beautiful my Darling.... Allah Bariq Tumbo lako ujifungue salama my love... Unajua navyokupenda.... Hii iende kwa wanaokaaga Uchi wakiwa wanapiga picha za Mimba Jamani...”

This post elicited a number of horrible attacks including some people reminding Wema that she aborted so she shouldn’t talk when it comes to matters of pregnancy. Others told her that she should not judge because she also takes ‘explicit’ photos while others reminded her that ‘kila nyani na Starehe zake.’

Overwhelmed by the comments, Wema fired back in a post that was viewed as shaming women for having a dark line during pregnancy. She stated that she is tired of seeing the pregnancy line in maternity shoots and wanted people to stop by saying MUACHE KUTUWEKEA MIPICHA YA MITUMBO YENU YENYE MSTARI WA UJAUZITO.
