Tanzanian music star Alikiba has responded to claims made by fellow artist Juma Jux regarding why he did not attend Jux’s much-publicised wedding.

In a recent interview, Jux had mentioned that certain artists, including Alikiba and Harmonize, were not invited due to strained communication.

Jux speaks on wedding guest list

Speaking during an interview on Wasafi FM, Juma Jux opened up about why some big names were absent from his guest list.

He explained that the decision not to invite them stemmed from a lack of regular communication rather than personal conflict.

Alikiba responds: There’s no bad blood

In response, Alikiba played down any suggestion of animosity, saying he holds no grudges and that invitations are a matter of personal choice.

He further explained that he does not consider himself part of Jux’s inner circle.

However, he was quick to clarify that their lack of communication does not indicate hostility.

The wedding was attended by hundreds of guests from across the continent, including Kenyan celebrity couple Bahati and Diana Marua, alongside media personalities Mzazi Willy Tuva and Claudia Naisabwa, who also served as one of the event’s hosts.

Touching on the current wave of celebrities entering politics, Ali Kiba said he is not yet ready to make the leap. “When the time is right, I’ll pick up nomination forms like others,” he remarked, acknowledging the growing trend of entertainers seeking elective office in Tanzania.
