One of Kenya’s leading media houses the Nation Media Group (NMG) has announced major changes to its leadership.

In the new changes that affect NMG’s Newspapers, top editors and writers received promotions while others were re-deployed, with new names expected to join the team.

The changes take effect in March 1, 2019.

The changes saw Bernard Mwinzi appointed Head of production, popular columnist Njoki Chege will be the new Head of Lifestyle. Solomon Omondi was appointed Chief-Sub Editor and Lucas Barasa is the new Editor for Politics & Parliamentary Affairs.

The changes barely two months after NMG announced the appointment of five senior editors in the ongoing restructuring.

According to the Group Editorial Director Mutuma Mathiu, the credibility of the Nation, integrity, quality journalism and editorial independence will still be a top priority for the Group as it moves to solidify its place in the market.
