The police officer accused of killing Meru University student leader Evans Njoroge in cold blood, has finally been arrested.
According to Amnesty Kenya who made the announcement on twitter, the unnamed police officer was arrested and arraigned in Court on Friday.
They added that the said officer was denied bail and will remain in custody until July 24, when he will take a plea.
“The police officer accused of killing student leader Evans Njoroge was arrested and arraigned in court earlier today. He was denied bail & has been remanded at the GK Prison in Meru till 24th July 2018 for plea taking. #StopTheBullet,” read the tweet from Amnesty Kenya.

Evans Njoroge who was the Secretary General of Meru University’s students association was shot on the head, as he and other students protested against fees increment by the university administration.
