A woman who police say used information from obituaries to burglarize homes, was arrested this week in Greenburgh.
It was "a distinct residential burglary pattern throughout various areas within Westchester County," Greenburgh police said.
Stakeout
Detectives staked out the home of a deceased Greenburgh resident from the Watch Hill development and found a car that matched the description of the suspect's car sent out by New York State Police, Greenburgh police said.
They pulled over the silver Acura MDX and ultimately found stolen property from a Feb. 22 burglary in the Irvington section of Greenburgh.
Pattern
Police arrested Stewart and charged her with one count of conspiracy to commit burglary, a felony, and criminal possession of stolen property, misdemeanor.
She was arraigned in town court and released on bond.
At this point, it's unknown how many municipalities view Stewart as a suspect in similar burglaries.
