Jubilee MP comes to the rescue of musician arrested for hateful song

He was arrested on Monday

A Jubilee Member of Parliament has come to the rescue of musician John Njau who was arrested for releasing a hateful song attacking a community.

According to Nairobi News, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has offered to bail out the musician accused of spreading hatred between two communities with his song Ikamba.

Kuria in an interview defended the musician saying he is not the person behind the controversial song.

“My lawyer is already working on the bail out. I also want to say it here that Njau is not among the two artistes behind that song. He is just an extra who is filmed picking a mango from a wheelbarrow,” said Kuria.
