Eliud Kipchoge who made history by becoming the first man to run a full marathon in under two hours was hosted to a colourful after-party that was attended by Deputy President William Ruto.

The decorated marathoner was pictured enjoying the party alongside his wife Grace Sugut, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang and a host of senior government officials who flew to Vienna to witness history in the making.

An elated DP Ruto could not hide his joy during the party in Vienna, confirming that he was tense throughout the race but had faith that Kipchoge would not disappoint.

"We were all nervous and anxious, but you calmed down our nerves and broke the barrier of limitations. You are simply great," Ruto stated.
