Students at Kenyatta University staged protests at the Thika Super Highway on Monday.

The students protested against the university's administration and called for the sacking of the Vice-Chancellor Paul Wainaina over what they termed as mismanagement at the institution.

Reports have intimated that the protests were sparked by the arrest of the Kenyatta University Students Association (KUSA) Chairman Joshua Ayika.

In their list of demands, the students asked for the fees deadline to be extended to the last two weeks before they sit for their end of semester examinations.
