Former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Miguna Miguna has revealed what he termed as a new plan to derail his planned return to Kenya.
The controversial lawyer has faulted Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i and Immigration PS Gordon Kihalangwa for instituting a new requirement for passport applications.
According to Miguna, the two purposely instituted the Huduma Namba requirement to curtail his plans to return to Kenya after he was deported twice.

"Uhuru Kenyatta and his goons - Fred Matiang'i and Gordon Kihalangwa - are aware that I'm on my way home.
"Their unlawful declaration that Kenyans require the Huduma Namba before being issued with passports are part of their illegal barricades to stop me from re-entry into Kenya," Miguna tweeted.

On Tuesday PS Kihalangwa notified members of the public that it would be difficult to get a passport without being registered in the National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS).
"If you are not in NIIMS and you are applying for a passport, we will know very well that you are not a Kenyan," he stated.
He added that the system launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta last week would greatly improve the way the department delivers its services.

"Now NIIMS is a total upgrade and that is why it must succeed. It will not only assist us in security matters but also in service delivery.
"If that programme succeeds it will actually address our problems because then we will have the data with us because then we can interrogate," he added.
