Hellen Obado, wife to troubled Migori Governor Okoth Obado, on Wednesday issued a powerful message following the release of her husband who spent several weeks at Industrial Area Remand prison.

Mrs. Obado, a staunch Christian fondly referred to as Mama Kanisa, could not hide her joy as she hugged the father of her children outside Milimani Law Courts and to cap it all, she resorted to the teachings on faith amidst tribulations.

“I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, 'move from here to there', and it would move. Nothing would be impossible - Mathew 17:20.” She said on her Facebook page.

Released

Governor Obado was on Wednesday released after spending nearly five weeks in state custody.

Obado was released but his co-accused Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero were denied bail by Milimani High Court judge Jessie Lesiit.

The judge issued a cash bail of Sh5 million or two sureties of Sh5 million each.

Obado surrendered himself to the police on September 21, after detectives linked him to the murder of the slain Rongo University student Sharon Otieno.
