The trip by the Kenyan Head of State became an object of scorn as Kenyans grappled to understand why the government has denied any deaths caused by hunger.

Kenyans took to his Twitter to express their disapproval of the trip saying that the President's priorities are misplaced.

"Please Mr Kenyatta, come back home. Help in feeding these Turkana people. They are taxpayers and voters too. May God bless you," one of the president's followers tweeted.
