Mourners attending the burial of the late Mzee Daniel Moi will be provided with snacks at Kabarak University grounds.
Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya said the first 30,000 people will be given soda, bread and water.
"We will provide some snack, soda, bread and water for the first 30,000 people and they will also be seated," Natembeya said.
Mr Natembeya said there will be free transport for those willing to attend Mzee Moi's burial from Nakuru town to Kabarak on Wednesday.
No VIP area
He pointed out there will be no VIP area for those attending adding that everyone will be treated the same since every Kenyan is mourning the death of Mzee Moi.
Screens will be mounted at Nakuru Afraha Stadium to stream the event for those who will not be able to go to Kabaraka.
Meanwhile, Kenyans continue to troop in Nairobi's streets to view the body of the country's late former President which is lying-in-state at Parliament Buildings.
The remains of Mzee Moi were brought at Parliament Buildings from Lee Funeral Home for the third day for public viewing.
