Hours after being released, Owino on Thursday headed to a political rally in Kibra where he spoke on a number of issues including the remarks made by Sonko.
The Embakasi MP East stated that Sonko had shown that he was admiring him when he referred to the former student leader as shoga (homosexual).
The MP further stated that he had also looked at Sonko and seen that the governor had “figure 8” and would “insert something inside the governor”.

“Nataka kuambia Sonko, uliniita shoga. Hiyo ni kumaanisha unanitamani. Mimi pia nimekuangalia na naona uko na figure 8, ntakuja niingize kitu ndani, (I want to tell Sonko, you called me a homosexual. That means you are admiring me. I have also looked at you and I see you have a figure 8. I will come and insert something inside)” Owino stated amid wild cheers and laughter.
Some of the NASA leaders led by Siaya Senator James Orengo appeared uneasy as Owino’s speech continued with lewd connotations.
The youthful legislator went to claim that police were mistreating him by blaming him for all manner of problems but added that he would not be cowed.
Owino also used the rally to challenge President Uhuru Kenyatta to a political contest in Embakasi East to prove who would be the “real man”.
