MPs allied to the National Super Alliance (NASA) have allegedly resorted to using underhanded tricks after their leaders demanded them to snub Parliamentary sessions.

NASA co-principal and former Senate Minority leader Moses Wetangula told Opposition legislators not to attend the opening of Parliament conducted by President Uhuru Kenyatta, terming the event as illegal.

Sentiments that were echoed by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

However, emerging reports indicate that a section of the lawmakers have been sneaking into parliament and signing the attendance register.

Divulging the information, Jubilee MPs led by Kikuyu’s Kimani Ichung'wa noted that their NASA counterparts were being dishonest and hypocritical.

He noted that the leaders were more keen on getting their pay cheque than executing their mandate.

Mr Ichung’wa called on National Assembly speaker Justin Muturi to take action against members who miss eight consecutive Parliamentary sittings.

According to the Constitution, a member who does not attend eight consecutive sitting without the Speaker’s permission in writing could have their seat declare vacant.

Other reports indicate that Homa Bay Women Representative Gladys Wanga, Suba MP John Mbadi and Bungoma Senator Wetangula were spotted in Parliament.

Mr Muturi stated that he will make the list of NASA leaders sneaking into Parliament public.
