NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga on Friday did not have kind words for former Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto after shifting camps to join President Uhuru Kenyattaâs Jubilee Party.
Speaking during a rally in Machakos Odinga sharply criticized Rutto for the last minute decision to abandon the Opposition.
The former Prime Minister noted that Rutto had just joined the losing team headed to âEgyptâ.
âUnaona wengine wanaruka ati wanaenda Jubilee. Jubilee inaelekea misriâŠ" Odinga said
The NASA flag bearer claimed that the Jubilee vehicle being spearheaded by President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto was a total disaster
"Jubilee ile ambayo dereva ni mlevi na tani boyi ni mwizi," he remarked.
On Friday, Rutto made an elaborate speech in his mother-tongue explaining why he finally ditched NASA, where he was the fifth principal.
Speaking at Kapkatet Grounds where President Uhuru Kenyatta was holding his campaign, Rutto divulged that he realized that his people had abandoned him after pledging allegiance to NASA leader Raila Odinga.
Addressing the crowd, The Chama cha Mashinani leader said: âI told you to come with me but you left meâŠI thought you were following me but when I looked behind me I realized that you had disappearedâ.
