K24 presenter Anne Kiguta has disclosed why you will rarely find her hanging out with other celebrities.
Why Anne Kiguta rarely hangs out with celebrities
In an interview with K24 Digital, the mother of two said that she is blessed to have close friends who can put up with her.
She went on to say that she only keeps real friends whom she can be very open with, and be herself around, because she is too grown to have time for games.
Ms Kiguta who was responding to the question of having mentors also made it clear that she is not in any way against celebrity friendships.
“I do but my mentor is a private individual so I won’t reveal them, and actually it’s not one, it’s a group of people. I have been so blessed that there is a group of people who can put up with me… I keep very real friendships, you don’t see me hanging out with a bunch celebrities and I’m not saying that celeb friendships are not real. But my friends are you know my gung ho friends. If I do not have a packet of milk can I come and tell you, ya maziwa. You know I’m too grown to have time for such games,” she said in the interview.
Anne Kiguta explained that she needed to take a break from TV after working as a journalist with little time to rest for almost ten years.
The TV queen who made a comeback on K24 said that the 10 month break was necessary for her to take time and regroup.
"I had a ten-month break and it was a necessary break. I have been covering politics for the last maybe ten years with little break," said Kiguta.
"After the intensity of the last two elections that we covered, I said it's no longer about what the station requires it's about what I need," she added.
