Bahati discloses that he is no longer allowed near President Kenyatta and DP Ruto

President's security detail make changes after previous incident

Award winning gospel musician Bahati has disclosed that he has been barred from coming close to president Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.

Bahati made the revelations in Kirinyaga while performing at an event graced by DP Ruto.

The award winning artiste came under attack after he literally took over the president's seat during the launch of the Jubilee party in 2016 at Kasarani stadium.

A visibly relaxed Bahati sat next to the first lady as the president took to the dance floor with the public questioning how he was allowed to come so close to the president.

The incident put the president's security detail on the spot light.

"Nowadays I can only wave to you from afar, I was told not to come near you during performances, but still, that’s okay," he disclosed.

Keen not to repeat the same mistake, the presidential security detail have subjected the gospel artiste to strict protocol whenever performing at an event attended by the president and his deputy.

“I’m still excited to sing in your presence and see you getting excited Bwana Deputy President,” he said.
