Contradicting reports

According to a local Tabloid The Observer in Uganda, there are contradicting reports about how the driver was kiled - with government officials claiming that chaos were sparked off after Wadri and Bobi Wine's supporters attacked the convoy of President Yoweri Museveni.

Senior press secretary, Don Wanyama tweeted a photo of one of Museveni's supposedly bullet-proof car with a shattered rear window. Wanyama accused opposition supporters of causing the damage.

Museveni flew to Arua on Monday, to campaign for ruling party flag bearer Nusura Tiperu. The chaos reportedly ensued after Wadri's last campaigns at Arua Prison grounds.

Wadri left in the company of Bobi wine before they encountered Tiperu's supporters on their way to the hotel with a commotion ensuing among the supporters, the observer reports.

Bobi Wine whereabouts now remain unknown after tweeting that it was an attempt on his life.

His wife Barbie Kyagulanyi said she had since lost contact with her husband but police in Arua denied arresting Bobi Wine.
