The year that came with ups and downs has seen some of the notable Kenyan celebrities get their breakthrough in 2017. It is the year that has seen some of the least known people get known.

ARROW BWOY

The sensational Swahili dancehall artist and Digi Digi hit maker, marked his spot in the Kenyan celebrity table this year. He is signed under the Kaka Empire label and continues to work his way up the ladder with subsequent hits like Murder and Lover man.

TIMELESS NOEL

Timeless Noel who is a choreographer, MC, Hypeman, dancer and events planner and host of Bambika Gospel show on Citizen TV got a breakthrough this year after he released his dance hit song, “Odi Dance” that features Hype Ochi and Jabidii.

LE BAND

The boy band came to the limelight after they released their first song “Number 1” that featured Suzziah. The song has been rocking the airwaves.

TRACY WANJIRU AND MARTIN KIMATHI

The duo who host the Teen Republik show on NTV have seen their position in the celebrity status grow over time and 2017 marked their greatest jump. The two have great chemistry that has seen people on the internet raise questions why the two are not dating.

SERAH TESHNA

She started her career as an actress in local programs and she is now making her way up having hosted the Skin Therapy show on KTN for a few months. She has now moved to K24 where she host K24 ALFAJIRI with Ciru Muriuki and Jeff Mote.

BRUZ NEWTON

He is famously known as the pioneer of bazokizo dance which he featured Collo formerly of kleptomaniacs. He is also the brains behind Zigwembe dance.

TUNJI

The new kid in the block came with the song Mat za Ronga and has been controlling the airwaves since. His popularity has been growing after he collaborated with Kaligraph Jones in the remix.
