Kenya’s H_art The Band, Sauti Sol, Khaligraph Jones and Nyashinski have been listed in the inaugural 2021 Top 100 African Musicians ranking.

On the list, Tanzania has been represented by; Diamond Platnumz, Rayvanny, Harmonize, Alikiba and Navy Kenzo. Uganda has the likes of; Eddy Kenzo Bebe Cool and Rema Namakula.

In a list curated by WatsUp TV and Avance Media, the Kenyan artistes are among top African Stars who have been recognized for a job well done in the music industry across the globe.

The list which features musicians from 26 African countries also has notable names such as Angelique Kidjo, Sarkodie, 2Baba, Meddy, Mr P, Nasty C, Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, Mohammed Mounir, Cassper Nyovest and Tiwa Savage.

The list features 18 Females, 9 groups and 73 males with Nigerian act Rema being the youngest at the age of 20 and Egypt’s Mohammed Mounir being the oldest at age 66.

Nigeria leads with 26 representatives followed by Ghana with 10 musicians, Cote D’Ivoire with 7 and South Africa with 6 musicians, Kenya 4 and Tanzania 4.

According to WatsUp TV CEO, ABD Traore, the annual list is focused on throwing the spotlight on African musicians with the highest impact in the industry and pays attention to their expedient career success, brand value, digital impact and continental outlook.
