In a statement, the Just in Music CEO said that it doesn’t require a rocket scientist to point out that Mbosso and Zuchu’s new song ‘For Your Love’ borrows heavily from ‘baby love’.
However, the singer said that the two are lucky because he will not file for a copyright strike.
“Punguzeni mazoea basi … Hio ni melody nzima ya baby love , if you know you know .. mnabahati sina utoto na roho mbaya .. anyways ❤️ link in their bio #justinlovemusic #wegotnorhythm," said Otile Brown.
Otile released Baby Love on July 31, 2018, a special dedication to his then girlfriend Vera Sidika. The song so far has garnered over 16 million views.
“Baby Love is a special dedication to Vera as My Woman,” reads a caption on the song on YouTube.
On the other hand, Mbosso dropped the ‘For Your Love’ video on November 10, 2021 and so far it has over 571K views.
The song was produced by Mocco Genius and mixed and mastered by Lizer Classic from WCB Wasafi.
