Singer Diamond Platnumz was forced to present himself to government officials after the Communication Authority of Tanzanian ordered to have Diamond’s interview with Times FM investigated.

Diamond who has been questioning why his songs were banned yet he has not received any official communication from the communication authority presented himself before the authority where they held closed a closed door meeting for two hours.

As soon as they finished the Number one hit and his management all refused to comment on what had transpired in the meeting with the Communication Authority officials.

This came after the Minister for Information Dr. Harrison Mwakyeke advised Diamond not to fight with the government claiming that he had been pissed off by Diamond’s act of undermining the Assistant Minister of Information after they were involved in a bitter exchange of words through social media.

Diamond later on released a statement saying that he would have a sit down with them to solve the issue at hand.

“I have not received any communication that my songs have been banned from being played on TV stations. I believe in the government process, we are supposed to get an official statement from the responsible Authorities that our songs have been restricted with reasons stated but that has not yet been done. I will be having a seat down with the Minister in Charge the Ministry of Sports and Culture so that we can exchange ideas on what the music market look like at the moment. Currently am doing music for both local and international Market. So limiting me on what to do sometimes will not help our brand to grow. “ said Diamond Platnumz.
