They have not met for 20 years!
The two met on Tuesday evening, when Diamond’s Wasafi FM aired its first live broadcasting show called Block 89, where they made peace.
The singer’s father was brought in as a surprise guest for him as he was being interviewed on the stations maiden show.
According to Diamond, he was displeased with how his father granted media interviews because it felt like he was trying to tarnish his name
“Media zinafanya biashara na biashara zinazofanya kwao ni content unaeza wachoresha tu wewe unaona vizuri kumbe hao wanapata views wanatengeneza hela lakini inawezekana zilikuwa zinachangia kutokuwa na maelewano mazuri sasa mimi nikiwa na fight alafu nione hii issue ikiingia social media naona kama huyu mzee anaamua kuniharibia sifa. Kuna kipindi katikati issue zilionekana zinakuwa poa lakini ukitoka kwenye media naona mzee kaamua aniharibie,” said Diamond Platnumz.
He also advised his father to stop having media interviews because that was a way of giving them content which the media in turn uses to make money.
On his part, Mzee Abdul asked for Diamond’s forgiveness for any wrong he might have done him, that has caused the bad blood between them.
“Unajua mimi si mtu wa kuomba msamaha, mimi mzazi na mara nyingi mzazi akikosa huwa anakosa. ila sasa nilikuwa naona kitu cha ajabu ikitokana na mamake ako naye sawa lakini nikienda kumuandikia message zangu kumueleza matatizo yangu naona anakuwa tofauti alafu anakuja kuwasaidia watu wengine ambao sio ama ndio ananitoa thamani. So nilikuwa nataka kusema ni kitu gani cha ajabu nilichokufanyia mimi huwezi nisamehe. Kama nimekukosea jamani mimi babako naomba unisamehe kabla sijaingia kwenye hakiki yangu ya mwisho,” said Mzee abdul.
Mzee Abdul has been accusing Diamond Platnumz of neglecting him and not supporting him with anything at all.
