Deputy President William Ruto was yet again the center of attraction at the wedding of Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu’s daughter Monica Njeri to Herman Nyotu Gitau, at a lavish event held at PCEA Evergreen Church in Runda.
Ruto who was among the high-profile guests at the event made witty remarks, laced with pieces of advice which he hoped would see the couple enjoy matrimony.
He started by blessing the couple before delving into how the groom should take care of the bride to avoid falling into temptation and admiring other women.
“You must take care of your beautiful wife, amking sure that she is well-fed and nicely dressed. Whenever you come across a good dress as you go about your business, buy it for your wife so that you don’t have to admire how beautiful other women look in their dresses” Ruto said, attracting applause from the gathering.

Hinting at expecting the couple to be blessed with a baby, Ruto reminded the groom that the government would pay for maternity services which are offered for free at all government hospitals.
“I want to inform you that the government of Kenya now pays for maternity issues, so don’t you worry, some issues are taken care of.
“So when the time for the bride to give birth comes as a result of your hard work, the government will foot the bill” added Ruto.
