Druscillah Walowe Mngoda popularly known as Dru Sonko died days after giving birth to their newborn son, Darell Sonko.

Before her death, Dru had gone to Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa to deliver their second born baby.

However, things did not go as smooth as they had anticipated as the doctors advised for an Emergency Caesarean section.

After bringing into the world a bouncing baby boy, the mother of two developed complications forcing the medics to rush her to ICU while in a very critical condition.

Her husband Dan, who is a big shot in the showbiz industry in Mombasa, took to social media pleading with friends and family to pray and donate blood for his wife, who was now at the brink of death.

“Dru has been fighting for her life the last 48hours. Her complexion is back and the swelling has reduced but she is still in critical condition. Her body isn't creating any platelets. The signal from the brain to the organs is weak making her situation hard.

“We can get her to beat this! That is all I ask.....for my Love to come into my open arms. I want to take her home. I believe it will happen,” a hopeful Dan pleaded.

Kenyan celebrities including Citizen TV news anchor Lulu Hassan, actor and former radio presenter Eve D Souza, Alex Mwakideu, popular Disk Jockey Dj Skillz, controversial blogger Robert Alai among others condoled with Dan.
