Much has been speculated about KTN news anchor Betty Kyallos source of income.

Ms. Kyallo recently opened her own luxurious salon dubbed Flair by Betty located at FCB Mihrab building, Lenana road.

This comes days after she broke ranks with her business partner Susan Kaittany, who together they had launched Posh Palace.

To dismiss the rumors that have been rampant on social media, Kyallo spoke about where she sourced the finances to start Flair by Betty, which is now a one-stop salon for many celebrities.

Speaking during an interview on KTN's Biashara, the mother of one revealed that she used the saving she had for her daughter, Ivanna, to open the salon.

“I had a fantastic concept but the capital was not easy to come by. Capital is definitely one of the challenges for any young person who wants to start a business.

"I had my own saving, actually savings I had made for my daughter but I chose t take the risk of investing it in a business,” she said.

Betty further divulged that she supplemented the saving with a loan she applied for.

"The bigger chunk of the money was from a loan facility that I was not shy to get. Sometimes we do not need to pretend that we have billions of billions of shillings. Sometimes we need help," she said.

Betty spends five hours a day at her salon after finalizing her job at KTN.
