Bobi Wine’s emotional message to his children from detention

He will be arraigned in court on Thursday

Fatherly advice

He went ahead to say that his son was now the new him and asked him not to be distracted with what is happening and focus on his studies.

“Dear son, I am writing to you from Makindye Military Prison. Mama will explain to you the rest. I want you to be strong and to be the man I always wanted you to be. I will one day be free and will reunite with you and the entire family. Please make sure you concentrate and pass all your exams. God is taking care of me. Be strong and always pray for me. You can be sure we shall one day overcome all this. I love you so. Take care of your mom and siblings you are now the new me! Taata,” read the first letter.

Prayers

“Dear Shalom, Shadrack and Suuba, I am sorry I did not come back home as I had earlier promised. I got some problems but if you continue praying for me, I will soon return home and we be together. Please be good children and take care of your mother. I saw your reports and I was very happy. If God wishes will bring you presents for your good performances. I love you very much. Yours Taata,” read the second letter.

Bobi Wine wrote the letters when his wife Barbie was allowed to visit him on Wednesday at the Makindye Military Prison where he has been detained since he was arrested on Monday.
