Emmy Kosgei’s father lands plum job in Uhuru's team

He is part of the chosen few picked by the Jubilee administration.

The Jubilee allocated the remaining 4 slots to former MPs Wanjiku Muhia (Nyandarua), Mpuru Aburi (Tigania East), Simon Mbugua (Kamukunji) and former CIC Chairman Charles Nyachae.

The National Super Alliance took up four more slots to make up Kenya’s nine nominees to the regional assembly who will then be elected into power by Members of Parliament.

Emmy’s father currently serves as the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) Chairman and was famously in the news over his passionate attempt to protect Kenyan moral values from American entertainment company Netflix.

Majority leaders Aden Duale and Kipchumba Murkomen (Senate, Elgeyo Marakwet) presented the list to the National Assembly on Thursday. Duale said President Uhuru Kenyatta's party jointly considered gender and regional balance.

"I wish to convey our final decision...we have five slots and are submitting fifteen members," said the Garissa Town MP.
