KTN News anchor lands ambassadorial deal

KTN News anchor Najma Ismail appointed Kenya Education Fund (KEF) Goodwill Ambassador

KTN News anchor Najma Ismail has been appointed Education Goodwill Ambassador.

Announcing her new role, Najma said that she was happy for the appointment by the Kenya Education Fund (KEF)

She will, however, continue to be an employee of the Standard Group even as she takes up the new role with the educational support organization to the less privileged.

As an Employee of the Standard Group I am humbled and honored to have been chosen by the Kenya Education Fund (KEF) team to become part of their noble cause of providing educational support to the less privileged. I am drawn to the impact KEF has on our country --giving Kenyans access to quality education to improve communities and break the cycle of poverty,” she wrote on Facebook.

KEF also stated that they are pleased to welcome the experienced journalist to their team as Goodwill Ambassador, where she will champion their work through quality education.

As an influential role model in both her personal and professional life, in pursuit of women’s empowerment and gender equality, KEF is uniquely privileged to have her in our team. Welcome Najma!” said KEF.

Najma Ismail begun her media career at Muslim station Iqra FM where she was a news anchor and reporter before she joined Sound Asia FM.

In 2006, she moved to Radio Africa Group where she worked as a news anchor and reporter for Kiss 100 and Classic 105 and later on joined the Standard Group’s KTN as a TV News anchor and reporter.
