Hollywood star Lupita Nyong’o sneaked into the country this past weekend and went directly to Kisumu.
On arrival, she was received by Kisumu County officials. According to reports, she then attended a private meeting where the media were denied access and those in-attendance prohibited from taking pictures.
Report has it that the ‘Black panther’ star was in Kenya for an ‘investment mission’. The investment will benefit local artistes. The Kenyan born star was under tight security during her Kisumu tour.
According to SDE, the lass was accompanied by international investors who are eager to support a project to be established in Kisumu.
The Kenyan born actress conspicuously skipped the screening of Black Panther movie that was aired specifically at her home town Kisumu where she had been expected. Instead she opted to go to South Africa to promote the film that has gained popularity worldwide within a short time.

Kisumu residents were left disappointed after the ’12 years a slave’ actress failed to turn up for the hyped premier.
