His other hits have not been as prolific as the two and some could even say that his fame has dwindled but he is looking to regain his former glory.

Well, the singer is currently in Kenya and has been here for a while now. And his extended stay in the country has been interpreted as a way of him running away from drug related charges back in Tanzania. Claims which he has categorically denied as he wasn’t even in Magafuli Goverenment' s list of celebrity drug peddlers and users. He also insisted that  he is clean and stories of him running away from Tanzania were fabricated to smudge his name.

Speaking on Mambo Mseto, Matonya disclosed that the purpose of his extended stay in the country was to work on some of his projects and also promote his new single Nyumba Ndogo (Side Chic).

Among the many places he stopped to promote his new single was Mziki  Live where he left jaws on the floor with his startling stage act.

First, Matonya pulled a lady on stage where he serenaded her with one of his songs which is normal for many performers:

But he then proceeded to unbuckle her belt and unzip her trousers!

Embarrassed by the incident, the lady was forced to run off stage to maintain her modesty.
