Ms Gituro who was responding to a fan who wanted to know if the reports of her departure were true said she left the media group because of personal reasons.
“@jofajeff yes Jeff nimeondoka Milele kwa sababu za kibinafsi,” she wrote.
This comes just a few months after she was poached from rival station Radio Citizen which is owned by the Royal Media Services (RMS) where she was the Head of Radio.
Joyce Gituro was among radio journalists who joined Mediamax last year in August in a move that brought to the Mediamax top radio presenters to help the company grow its audience and advertising revenue.
Fallout
Reports say that the former Radio Division boss resigned over an alleged fallout with the acting Mediamax CEO Kenneth Ngaruiya.
This is the second time Joyce has resigned from the media group, the first being just a few months after she joined the station but did not leave after the management intervened.
A report by Business Today said that immediately after her resignation, veteran journalist Joshua Arap Sang, who recently joined Emoo FM was appointed deputy head of radio and will be in charge until Joyce Gituro’s replacement is found.
