How NTV’s Doreen Majala Birthday Party went down (Photos)

NTV news anchor Doreen Majala held an exquisite Birthday Party that was graced by close friends and colleagues upon turning a year older.

Ms Majala, who is known to be a lover of the finest things, maintained her high level of class in the birthday party attended by the likes of Ken Mijingu, Cate Rira among others.

Moments captured from the Birthday Party were shared on social media by the news anchor, thanking all who showed up to celebrate with her.

Doreen Majala Foundation

Away from the TV screen, Ms Majala also runs the Doreen Majala Foundation, which focuses on creating opportunities for children through education. 

She made headlines when she accused her then-husband, Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi, of assaulting her on the night of February 25, 2018, at their Karen home. 

Doreen, who is lawyer by profession, started her Journey in the media back in 2015 after pursuing a course in broadcast and digital media.

TV Career

Her career then picked up in 2016 when she started working at Ebru TV as a Swahili news anchor. 

In 2018, she joined the NTV Jioni team, at a time Nation Media Group was re-branding.

During that time (July 13, 2018) NTV introduced a number of new faces and other experienced journalists poached from Citizen, KBC and Ebru TV.

Those who were brought in to join Harith Salim, Jane Ngoiri and Dan Mule were Swaleh Salim, Doreen Majala, Nuru Abdulaziz, Kaltun Jama.
