Former NTV Coast region reporter Peter Mwangangi has won a top award, just days after his wedding.

In a post he shared on his Instagram page, Mwangangi who currently works with International media house the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) as a business reporter said that he was happy to have won the award.

He went ahead to say that he won the inaugural award by the Mombasa based Reachout Centre Trust for a story he did that focused on drug use, abuse and reform policies put in place in the Coast region while working at NTV.

“Glad to have won in the TV Category (Best Broadcast) in the inaugural Media Awards by held last evening in Mombasa. A big thank you to my (then) Cameraperson; the Senior Veteran  for a piece that focused on drug use/abuse and reform policies at the Coast region ,” read his post.

This comes just days after he walked his longtime girlfriend Carol down the aisle in a colorful wedding held in Machakos.

Peter Mwangangi joined the BBC as a business reporter under the leadership of Larry Madowo in July 2018.
