The 27th edition of Koroga Festival went down over the weekend at Two Rivers Mall, with Ivorian-born reggae superstar Alpha Blondy headlining day two of the event.

The Iconic Blondy gave a memorable two hours performance alongside his band “The Solar System” that spiced up the night prompting reggae lovers to sing along.

Blondy and the Solar System band proved to reggae fanatics at Koroga Festival as to why they are regarded among the best live acts in the world of Reggae.

Brigadier Sabari

The reggae crooner also referred to as 'The African Bob Marley', kept revelers entertained with songs like; Jerusalem, Peace in Liberia, Brigadier Sabari, Sweet Fanta Diallo, Masada, Cocody Rock, Sebe Allah among others.

The Cocody Rock master got worldwide recognition through his debut album Jah Glory in 1982 and since then has never left the international stage.

Also on the performance list of Day two, was legendary Kenyan R&B and reggae musician Kevin Wyre. Wyre performed songs like; Mimi Na Ye, Chuki, Barua ya Mwisho, Guarantee, Kingston Girl among others.

Dancehall king

Dancehall king Swabri Mohammed, better known by his stage name Redsan, did not disappoint when he took the stage performing most of his songs which included; Shika Glass, Rio, Shoulder Back, Atekwe ft Timmy Tdat, Back it Up, Baddder than Most, Unbreakable and Nakutaka.

Among those who graced Sunday edition were; Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, Chris Kirubi, Jahmbi Koikai, Mwalim Churchill, Kris Darlin, Tracey Wanjiru, Joe Kisila, Timmy Tdat, DJ Pierra Makena, Joe Mfalme, just to mention a few.

Performing on the first day of the festival were; The Decimators, Zzero Sufuri, Sailors, DJ Schwaz, DJ Slick, DJ Rouge and DJ Joe Mfalme.
