Breaking News: Former NTV presenter Janet Kanini passes on

Former NTV presenter Janet Kanini died on April 1st after a battle with lung cancer for a long time.

Breaking the news to the society NTV presenter Larry Madowo Tweeted on April 1.

Kanini who was battling Cancer for along time was announced cancer free February  last year giving hope to many who were battling with cancer.

In a long post on her Facebook account, Kanini said an MRI scan conducted on her showed no signs of lesions in her liver, abdomen, bones, lymph nodes and lungs.

Kanini attributed her healing to a support network of friends, family and strangers praying for her and encouraging her.

She made special mention of her husband who she said only recently revealed to her that doctors had given her less than six months to live after she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.

Janet Kanini Ikua  died at the age of 39 years ,she has left behind two kids.

Kenyans on Twitter have taken the intiative to send in their condolences to her family and friends at the hash tag #RIPJanetKaniniIkua.
